On some Linux distros - hardware devices have additional protection and
the user has to be a member of a particular group to be allowed to
access and use the CD/DVD drives - typical significant groups include
audio and cdrom.
You could test this by logging in as the same user which runs SBS and
Survey completed.
Including my views on the artists.
Would like to hear HD radio from a well produced modern CD and
compare with the same from my collection through my Squeezebox in FLAC
to make a better stab at evaluation.
Elton John's Honky Chateau for example or the new Band On The Run
The libspotify library supplied by Spotify only works on x86 processors
- Touch has an ARM processor. So you will need an x86 based external
server which also means you cannot use most NAS systems as your
external server.

Are you using ALSA emulation under PulseAudio or is it native ALSA ?

Cheers for the info, I did a search before posting this and never found
how to do it for a NAS, as I don't have any code knowledge, hopefully
someone can come up with something for iPengHD, I hope so as your 2
plugins would be a great addition for iPengHD/iPad for NAS users

hi pippin
the new update is very nice. the smooth cover scrolling feature is a
big jump forward in term of user experience. great.. runs perfect for
me..
one tiny thing i have to admit: when pressing the ipeng app button. the
screen comes up and gathers all information, connects to the server
: to be able to configure the content of the left-hand-side menu
there are a few things in it, i never ever use.. hence, shorten the
list would lead to a non-scrolling list
for me...
fanx...

I found another little problem: the sdtweathermapicon is a great
improvement, I use it to display Italy satellite image. The problem I
found is that when you set it with a size, a clip size and a
displacement, it show correctly at the first time, but looses settings
at the first update.

Yes, I thought about that a lot. However, it's _really_ hard to do. The
main reason iPeng gathers information is because it updates

Can't say what's wrong there. Will test this when I find time.

Thanks pippin, the 1.2.8 update completely fixed the battery drain issue
I was experiencing. Leaving iPeng active whilst the iPod Touch is in
sleep state now has no adverse affect on battery life.
Again, many thanks.

If I have Squeezebox Server running on a Windows PC and I install the
Whitebear Media Server, will I be able to control a DLNA-compatible
player/renderer from the Squeezebox Server web interface (or better yet

Would anyone be nice enough to help rebuild this plugin for the new
version of SqueezeCenter?
I do not have any programing knowledge with Perl and I haven't found a
nice step by step guide for doing this.
Any help or information would be great!
Thanks,

Normally I'm using native ALSA (all output in my previous postings is
native ALSA) but I also tried installing PulseAudio which didn't solve
the issue.
