The libspotify library supplied by Spotify only works on x86 processors - Touch has an ARM processor. So you will need an x86 based external server which also means you cannot use most NAS systems as your external server. -- bpa

Thanks pippin, the 1.2.8 update completely fixed the battery drain issue I was experiencing. Leaving iPeng active whilst the iPod Touch is in sleep state now has no adverse affect on battery life. Again, many thanks. -- AnotherTribe

Playlists are acting up and generally not working. they have been a bit sluggish for a while, but yesterday I had to turn off the mains then Squeeze wouldn't work at all. i have since re-installed, selecting tracks, albums, top 100 etc all work but Playlists seems to fall over, timeout in log

Attached is a windows version of spotifyd.exe which ignores the check that a playlist is loaded and tries to display it if it finds all the tracks. Could people experiencing problems with playlists please try this and report back. You will need to find the location of spotifyd.exe and replace
