However, since making this post, think that I have solved the issue. I
noticed that the helper application was spotifydnoflac64, and I tried
installing flac (apt-get install flac) and restarting. This appeared to
ease the problem (rebuffering started after 3 minutes

I suspect that your weighting functions combined with a relatively small
library is the cause. The SugarCube Live View will show the tracks
returned by MIP and the reason they were rejected, have a look at it.
Also try setting Artist Repeating for X tracks to 2 , and Album

Hi Triode - Money Box is absent from the Radio 4 12.00 slot on Saturday

AS a matter of interest is there any way of incorporating within iPeng a
way of browsing accompanying texts. For example when downloading music
the provider often includes a PDF of the booklet accompanying the CD

iPeng can't do this without a plugin providing the data or better a link
to the data. And then the plugin would also have to make sure the files
are being served up.
iPeng does already support a weblink property that could be used to
open these files in iPeng then and if I knew about a plugin

I just installed it and it works great so far (in that it is currently
playing the one URL I've offered it).
Is it really no longer being actively developed? It would be grand to be
able to play a SC user's offerings with the click of a button.
There is a lyric plugin it works with iPeng and also the biography
plugin for some reading on the artist , but bio is currently broken (
fix on it's way ).
Also is not lastFM able to serve some content .
I also uses iPengs web link to Wikipedia .
Well that is a plugin idea ,something that scans
You can create a playlist in SBS/LMS that consists of Spotify tracks but
I don't think you can store it on Spotify so it becomes accessible on
other Spotify clients.

I find it extremely hard to believe that out of the 3000+ mixable metal

We will never know why until you show us the SugarCube Live View.
Ok, here are some Live View shots:
First (seed) song is Becoming by Pantera, which, if you're a metal fan
you'll know that it's a very heavy thrash metal song. So here's a play
by play of the few songs picked by SC right after it:
So within 3 songs, we went from Pantera to Audioslave, which is barely
hard rock. What am I supposed to be looking at in the Live View window
exactly? In the first screenshot, all the recommended songs by MIP seem
to be OK but for some reason Sugarcube goes in a totally different

Thanks. I see that it needs a plugin. I will perhaps post as suggested
plugin in the relevant place. Perhaps it has been suggested before- I am

I'm just asking because if you see the same issue there, it might be

Also, my Smartgain setting doesn't seem to effect the volume properly.
Some songs are still louder/quieter than others. And yes, all my songs

Standard M icon? Can you please elaborate on that?
If you browse into My Music/Artists in the SBS/LMS web interface you
should see a M icon to the right of the artist name. Click on that and
on next page you should see a MusicIP Mix icon that creates a mix of
music similar to
