Yep - I fact I've tried unchecking both of those boxes without success. I should point out that, although LMS reports that plugin updates are available, when I get to the plugin screen there are no plugins that appear to be requesting an update - but I immediately see the pop up dialog box asking

In the UK the Fire TV is c£70. If you add the price of a raspberry Pi, case, power cable, SD card and a cheap USB DAC eg Behringer UAC 202 it's about the same. I'd say the Fire is a fair bit superior hardware wise albeit you can't run LMS on it only SB Player. The pre built Pi's with DAC are over
