I removed today the repack version to move to the new package...
(Because my NAS was not hibernating anymore... And i was suspecting it
was again due to a bug on LMS (as long time ago))
But with the new version, nothing is working anymore !

On the official Google forums I read that since the last firmware update
a week ago, CCA plays "bit-perfect" up to 24/96

I think that I have solved my problem. There appears to be a
configuration conflict in that the /etc/hosts had raspberrypi as the
name whilst /etc/hostname had max2play. So I have changed the setting
in /etc/hosts and it seems to have done the trick.

When I get a 3.5mm to Toslink lead (as the Christmas post permits) I
will try it. I don't expect to hear any difference.
The DAC chip in the new Chromecast is probably better than that in the
DAC, which is a few years old.

Are you aware that this plugin is preventing NAS to hibernate (DS214 at
least)?
Could you find out why i got this problem, is it normal ?
Moreover It looks like that this plugin is now activated by default in
new LMS 7.9 installation => i add to remove it...

Release notes for BBCiPlayer 1.4.7
Main change relates to skip back.
The overloading of the "<<" Rew button has been removed because it
interfered with playlist operation if BBCiPlayer station was in a
playlist.

Unless you use "preserve connection" EVERYTHING in iPeng is immediately
suspended when you leave it. Just as with any other App.

Tests have shown that actively killing apps increases battery usage, as

Ok I have ordered a CCA. I will collect it from Curry's (£25) later. I
don't need it but I am intrigued as to how well it will work.
I have - as Phillipe knows - played around a fair bit with upnpBridge
and I think it is fair to say that I have it working pretty well with my
Onkyo CRN 755 but
