The error says cannot access the CDrom device.
When LMS runs it runs under a different userid. Has that userid got
permission to access to the /dev/cdrom device (e.g. what are the
permission for /dev/cdrom ? is the LMS userid a member of relevant
group) ?

I added more details to original post but still think some sort of
network error/glitch - I get these sort of hiccoughs with powerline
devices.

Ok I've fixed my eject issue too now by appending sys.dev.cdrom.lock=0
to the end of /etc/sysctl.conf

I have exactly the same problem with a Squeezebox Touch and a Squeezebox
Radio. But already since a couple of weeks ago.
Does the Squeezebox stream the music via a direct connection to Napster,
or is the music routed via the Squeezebox Server. In the latter case,
