Hello Ronnie,
Thank you for taking the time to reply to my post.
I did manage to get Spotify working as described in my previous post,
but you were correct to point out that I needed to enter the Spotify
account credentials again after restarting the logitech server service.
Thank you again.

I saw that after you're first message. My DAC (Arcam rPac) is not on the
list but the list may not be exhaustive/complete.
It won't be a show-stopper if I can't get it to work but it will
probably mean having to keep a Raspberry Pi going as

Such a shame. I will keep everything crossed that this is a short term

Thank you so much, BPA, for your fantastic and much appreciated
I'll give it a try when the equipment arrives and report back.

Never tried this set-up. But:
- make sure you have a DAC that is recognised by DSM.
- does Local Player plugin run on an ARM based nas?

But the protocol handler (or helper) port needs to be open, at least
from the same device.
And you'd want port 3483 to be open for the server to be found and 9000
for the server to be controlled, but that's unrelated to Spotify, of
course.

I've just ordered a DS215j and a couple of hard drives. I was thinking
of using it to back-up our two desktop PC's and possibly to replace a
PiCore Player/Server and reduce/tidy up the number of loose Hard Drives
on my desktop.
I'm pretty sure it will perform these two tasks but I would like to
