Old the macOS that is, not the user, of course :-). I've seen reports of "partial" failure on macOS El Capitan etc. If you're facing this issue, could you please add the following repository at the bottom of the Plugins page, then install the "Spotty Helper TEST App for Mac"?

I get the response "Illegal instruction: 4" and an empty file at ~/test.pcm You mentioned three systems in your postings: 10.8.x, 10.9.5, and Sierra. The latter would work. What would above error be from? You passed authorization, but playback would fail with this illegal instruction?

I use external usb dac I use RPI3 WITH PIICOREPLAYER ; INSTALL LMS SERVER IN TH PICOREPPLAYER WITH SPOTTY 1.3.3 PLUGIN I would have suggested to try a different DAC. USB DACs are said to often cause audible issues. Wouldn't you get the same streaming other content on that player? --
