I've seen reports of "partial" failure on macOS El Capitan etc. If
you're facing this issue, could you please add the following repository
at the bottom of the Plugins page, then install the "Spotty Helper TEST
App for Mac"?

What is puzzling
I've been getting nothing but silence with Spotty, it worked for a
little bit with 7.9.0 on OSX El Capitan but after restarting the server
that one time and now with the reinstall I get no sound.
The only thing my Log has in it since updating to the latest nightly of
7.9.1 (-which is working

So kind of you to send the script and links. The good news is, the
scripts worked! I previously was only able to load MusicIP by changing
to the /MusicMagicMixer directory and inputting ./MusicMagicServer start
in the terminal. With the script, I can run the script itself without

You mentioned three systems in your postings: 10.8.x, 10.9.5, and
Sierra. The latter would work. What would above error be from? You
passed authorization, but playback would fail with this illegal
instruction?

and specifically MusicIP under MacOS (after running these on Windows 7

I would have suggested to try a different DAC. USB DACs are said to
often cause audible issues. Wouldn't you get the same streaming other
content on that player?

conn_handle_request error in the LMS log. It happens every time I try to

I think we have other treads on the UMG watermark ,but nice of you to
rise the issue thats it actually in all stremaed content too.
It's often discussed here and in other fora ,but with the focus on
dowloaded hirez content from for example HD tracks
If true, no provider or format would be safe as long as the original
source is Universal.
While no "filter" can ever be as good as non-watermarked sources to
start with, it may be possible to improve the sound somewhat.
Subjectively I thought I heard more detail in the "cleaned" example on

Now we may explain why some including me suspect that spotifys encoding
is not always as good as it can be .
It migth be this watermark in many cases and not the encodings fault .
