It may be worth looking at squeezelite to see if this absence of Volume
control results in no FFT processing of output data

IIRC squeezelite analyses the PCM sample (i.e. after decoding audio and
applying any gain settings) that are about to be

Great. So plays native and part of the latest picoreplayer- I.e. no
additional download or extension needed?
Thanks

I've updated the Windows ZIP to alpha3. This -should- resolve the
non-ASCII character issue.
I'm still seeing issues where on the 1st run some files fail the

Oh. Anything major? Not seen many complaints
.
Well, I can't be too sure, but it took about 3 hours to scan those 681
files, and I ended up with 661 in the database. Which confirms it was
just those with accented characters (and variations on the apostrophe)
that were excluded. So as far as I can tell, there were no issues with
the writing
Overall though, it seems weird that VU Meter is working off the output
signal. Shouldn't it be based on the input and not change based on
volume level?

Yup, same for Dacmagic. No volume control.

Ok. So no extra installation - this is standard within the newest
version of PiCorePlayer?

I know there are a few problems.but since I don't use apple

Hi all,
Any ideas how to debug this problem?
I've got two separate Sonos systems, each a Sonos One+SL stereo pair.
LMS can see and play music on one of the systems, but I can't see the
other one at all. It is not discovered. There is nothing wrong with
the unreachable one. I can play to it

Very strange volume range min is -10239 and max 400 !!
I wonder if squeezelite is
Hi
Ive noticed that at some point that FFmpeg support has been dropped
from PiCorePlayer but a new library for MP4/ALAC is included. Does that
mean that the player can natively decode ALAC files? And at all
sampling rates and 16bit and 24 bit?
Thanks

If you install the LMS-lite smart home Alexa skill then your players and
your smart sockets can all be included in Alexa routines and grouped any
way you like.

I'm back, and giving it another go... This time, with Alpha 2, I seem to
be getting further - albeit the main issue with me was I believe an
outdated Python install, so I've upgraded to the latest 3.10.1 64bit
release.
Analysis (of those 681 FLAC files) is under way.

That is what I get from Gustard. I get same thing from Dacmagic.

that Squeezelite-X is showing "Connection Refused". The same desktop is
connecting to LMS fine through Firefox. I don't think I have changed
anything else in the system that might affect it.
Do you have any tips please?
I eventually got around to a blog post about this.

Hello,
Do you know if it is possible to be able to like albums or playlists
when using Qobuz or other?
I am currently testing Volumio 3 and it is possible to like the albums /
playlist directly in Manifest interface with Qobuz plugin in order to
find them on the Qobuz app in the car for
The -V will use the ALSA controls but not all USB devices have lots of
controls - some may not even have a volume (i.e. device just converts
PCM to audio - volume control is done on PCM samples not by USB device)
To check whether the USB DAC present any control use the amixer command
. Example
Bug-fix release, changes:
- Only show multi-disc icon, and prompt for disc to use, etc., if LMS
is set to group multi-disc albums.
- Add add and play actions to subtoolbar for 'All songs' listings.
- Don't show disc headers in 'All songs' listings.
- Hide settings password.
- Update
