The LMS is running in a QNAP app called QLogitechMediaServer. Earlier it
ran in a container. The QNAP LMS app is documented in this forum.
When I started playing music this morning it didn't play, just jumped
from song to song, but no sound. Like it behaved during the early
installation attempts
Not with jivelite. But you can write a standalone program to read
player volume from LMS, then display it.
piCorePlayer a small player for the Raspberry Pi in RAM.

Please 'donate' (https://picoreplayer.org/index.html#donate) if you like
the piCorePlay
I was testing out the shortcut for other apps (Pandora, Apple Podcast,
Amazon Misic) to see if I could share my podcast to a device. Looks
like the players (SB Radio and Touch) are sent the url but it doesnt
play.

Sounds frustrating, I will have a dig around on this server, ideally I
can find a setup that I can run as a virtual machine and see if I can
crack it,
I have started a re-write of the whole thing, but it stalled last April,
because I had to cover another manager's role at work, but he is back

Nope. No files or folders in InguzEQ.
I have been using a player all night. Apart from the restarts.

and presumably you have selected a player and tried to play. But get no
music?
and when you check the /usr/share/InguzEQ folder you don't see any
additional folders or files?

So the main scripts around the plugin are behaving themselves. I think
the issue now is that /usr/share/InguzEQ has not been created.
I don't know how you created the folder, but the steps should be
something like this
cd /usr/share
sudo mkdir InguzEQ
-- you may get prompted for your password

I don't have this. It is empty. That's the error.
I save a change in EQ as Test. It is saved but doesn't show up in the
list of settings.
But in the folder
/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/LogitechMediaServer/SlimServer/prefs/plugin
the conf file points to a non-existe
I added the picore-setup.sh script specifically for users running on
picoreplayer on the raspberry pi. This is because the setup is more
complex there as the all the system folders are loaded into memory at
startup and get wiped each time, which means the preferences and
executables would be wip
I do sudo chmod 777 InguzDSP in usr/share but get:
chmod: InguzDSP: No such file or directory
I don't understand.

Not execute the picore-setup.sh
Should the .1 files also be there or are they just double dnloads?

Install the plugin from the plugin screen on settings page first. My
folder looks like this - you shouldn't need to tweak anything
38947
Download the InguzDSP program and Config File and make the program
runnable using chmod command
38948
Create the Settings folder InguzEQ and make the folde
So the actual plugin I install (the one on the plugin page) is not
important at all? Or should I install it, too?

The way LMS handles plugins is quite complex, and is not my expertise
either.
So when you build a plugin it is just a zip file and usually contains a
perl script that runs on the server web page(s) that allows you to
interact with the script. There are a few more supporting files that you
may or
Release 2.25.5 contains :
- Improvements to the sign-in process to address reported issues with
sign-in following 2 year credentials expiring.
This version is available now from the beta repository now and will be
available from the main repository at the next refresh.

Hello
Sry to be a blockhead. I'm trying to get what is what here.
I install a plugin, but is that the actual program and configuration
file or just a shell with a layout?
What is the name of the "program" and "its configuration file"?
I put the InguzDSP and its .dll in
/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpk
Is there a way to force this plugin to cache the entire song? I keep
getting broken sockets when playing back spotify, mostly towards the end
of a track. I have my stream buffering maxed out at 30 seconds right
now.
Code:

Hi, would appreciate any advice in the right directions... or maybe it
is here somewhere already on the forum
Is it possible to ONLY show Volume 0-100 values on a separate display
either on a small TFT or a MAX7219 8x8 Dot Matrix (set of 3 ) using
Jivelite ?
I guess it is just a certain part
