It is stil ongoing. I dont think this is an issue with Spotty but just
a fluke in the way that Spotify filters results in their UI that they
dont apply to API searches.

I'm running Spotty v4.8.4 and I noticed an album of which only a few
tracks were playable. That happens in the Spotify GUI as well: sometimes
tracks are not available due to regional rights, etc. But this time I
was unable to find the album and tracks using the Spotify GUI at all.
The album is
I just upgraded from Spotty 1.4.1 to 1.9.6 and it stopped working. :-( I
upgraded LMS to 7.9.1~1509357021 but that didn't help. LMS would stall
at various stages of interacting with Spotty (clicking the icon,
clicking "Playlists", playing a playlist). After turning on debug
logging I got these
If you're going to put effort into 3rd party control platforms, you
should look for a solution that integrates easily into multiple vendor
APIs. Something like IFTTT perhaps?

If by "full-screen" you mean the full size of the split-screen then yes.
I rarely

I just wanted to post a quick "thank you" for iPeng 9.1. The widget is
absolutely fantastic. Can't do without it already!

In CloudBeats you can search/navigate to an album and from the album
view add it to the playing que or a playlist with 1 click.
For local playback I use CloudBeats. Simpy put some files in Dropbox and
add them to a CloudBeats playlist that you mark as download locally.
Also works with Owncloud.

I was on the latest 7.8, which is 7.8.1 I think. iPeng is 9.0.3.

I upgrade my iOS devices more frequently than my LMS so that could very
well be it. :-) Both iPad and iPhone are on the latest hardware
revisions. Thanks again!

I just did some searches in my library and noticed it is now lightning
fast! Before I would have to wait several seconds before the results to
appear, now they are there instantly. I'm not sure if something was
changed in iPeng or it is because I upgraded LMS to the latest 7.9
version. Either
I just tried the official Squeezebox app and the search there is very
fast now too. Wow, suddenly I appreciate iPeng even more. If it wasn't
for this app I probably would have switched to Sonos ages ago.

Oh, I hate iTunes, too, yet I still use it (OK, I'm a Mac user and
haven't found a convincing alternative for ripping there)
I was ripping some CD's when I remembered this remark you made. Check
out A Better CD Encoder at http://abcde.einval.com/

Umm, sorry, but I really wasn't looking for a command line tool :) it's

What can really go wrong? When used together with

actual ripping phase. I've never
Tagging is not the problem. Abcde uses eyeD3 by default. The input for
the tool is. Abcde downloads this from CDDB, freedb or Musicbrainz or
even CD-TEXT. Then it fires up a text editor so you can correct it if
needed.

Well, iTunes does similar things. My problem usually is when the
information in these databases is bad, first, I want an App that shows
me the different alternatives found BEFORE I apply the tags and let's me
select one (iTunes lists the, but only a summary line). Does abcde do
Abcde fires up your favorite editor (after fetching CDDB or Musicbrainz
data) so you can check and correct the tags. I use vim but it can also
be a graphical editor. Works really great!

I never considered bootcamp, but keep a VM with Windows 7 around.
Haven't used in years though. :-) I have a custom perl script for mass
tagging, btw.

Don't know. I think the market is people who use iThingies (so DO use
iTunes) but not to download the music to the device but still want to do

Lol. I use iThingies, but hate iTunes. Especially when
What is this playlist transfer function and how do I use it? I just
searched for it and came up short.

Thanks for that. The English blog post is here:

I've added your blog to Feedly so I won't have to miss out on a great
new feature again! :-)
I use iPeng a lot to quickly look up the title of the current song that
is playing. It would be awesome if iPeng had a widget in the Today
section for that. Is something like this on the roadmap?
