thanks for the reply - much appreciated. There have been some recent
changes in my internet setup...
I set up the FreeNAS box years ago and didn't touch it. It worked ok,
until a few weeks ago,albeit with occasional problems with radio and

Hi there -
I checked the DNS address and it's the same on the FreeNAS box as the
network - 193.168.1.254. The SlimNAS still fails to start... :(
Any help or diagnostics appreciated, coz I'm groping a little in the
dark here...

thanks again and sorry for not answering all the diagnostic questions
you first posed. I've looked at the server.log. It's huge, but this
section right at the end before the Server stoppped working seems
pertinent:
