On Windows I've gotten this message when the default browser's connection is improperly configured to use a proxy instead of direct connection(no proxy).
Java on windows looks at the default browser's config to determine whether to use a proxy to connect to the internet. It looks like some thing similar is happening (can't connect to SOCKS proxy in your log) If setting your browser connection option doesn't fix it, you may have to set it directly through the java control panel or the unix equivalent. I came upon this thread searching for softsqueeze unknown protocol socket. BTW, here is another link that may help: http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5127788 Hope this helps, -- foo_fighter ------------------------------------------------------------------------ foo_fighter's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=24967 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53729 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
