This may be possible through a plugin, however note one of the main
tenants of the squeezebox servers from the earlier days was to NEVER
modify the music files. So any plugin that did this would be going
around that tenant and not using any built in API.
So on ipeng for the iPad I recently noticed that my left side nav bar is
just the icons and I can not get it back to text. I remember being able
to switch this in the past but for the life of me can not seem to do it
now.
Album Review and Bio plugins look fine in LMS web, however iPeng shows
the html code. It has been like this for a good while, wondering if
others notice it?

How? Suggestions?
How much simpler then drag one player onto the other one can it get?
Or just selecting two players and pressing sync?
There's been a lot of discussion around the sync, I still have to learn
about a simpler way. There's always solutions that make it simpler
I use to be a huge rating person. But when the dev started charging for
the plugins I reconsidered if rating was worth it. Turns out it is not,
because I found I did not like filtering my music based on how I felt
about it during a single moment in time. The only thing I do miss is I

I have recently upgraded my Denon AVR-2310 to a 3312 with network.
With this upgrade I also switched from the serialcontrol plugin to this.

Pippin the music starting up again after a call I have noticed with
other music apps such as apples podcast app. I have noticed it with
having a podcast paused before the call then after the call it starts
playing. This did not start happening until ios6. I suspect it is an
iOS bug.
So for awhile I have been able to play music via my iPad at work by VPN
into my home network to connect to my Squeezebox. I decided to open up
ports 9000 TCP and 3483 UDP to only my work IP to eliminate needing the

Yes the remote server is the current one. And I am connecting remotely,
currently at work and without a VPN the only way to connect is
remotely.
Yes I have forced closed iPeng a few times trying to see if that was the
issue.
Just now, I removed the local server from my list of servers so that
I am using my Office wifi connection. I am not on O2 or using 3G, my

I think I know what the issue might be. My office does not allow
high-ports outbound (anything over 1024). So I have my port mapping for
348 - 3483, and 900 - 9000. I do not see where I can change the
3483 port in ipend to 348.
pippin wrote:
No, 9000 just needs to be the same port within your local network and
over the Internet.
Did you see my above about port mapping before posting this?

Just out of interest where is the 'field' on iPeng where you see the
port 3483 which you say is read-only? Cheers
If you click the arrow next to the server name it brings up a page of
info.

Great i see it is available to install via LMS however everytime I check
it and restart it does not install.

I think I see why it is showing as still needing an update. The
install.xml file you send in the zip is still showing version 1.9.1

I have this plugin config to use quick select 3 which is set to switch
to the input my squeezebox is on. This works great if the denon is off
when I turn my squeezebox on. However if the denon is already on and I
turn on the squeezebox it does not switch the denons inputs.
Can not restore my previous purchase of Playback on my iPad for iPeng.
I have both iPeng for iPhone and for iPad. On the iphone is shows I
have playback support. However on the ipad that I recently got the new
one it will not enable playback after I click restore.

the mp3 decoder on my server. Interesting though is that could be a
way to bypass the forced limit on the celluar ;)

So I plan on getting an iPad pretty soon and of course the first app I
will install in it is iPeng. I currently already have an iphone with
iPeng and have the addon to allow local playback. If I buy the iPad
version of iPeng do I need to buy the addon again?

I think I came up with a decent solution for handling having iPeng
access my SBS from outside my network and not have to have SBS exposed
to the world. I setup my WHS to work as an IPSec VPN server and have
my iphone connect to my server via VPN.

connection to SBS
is to setup a VPN server and have that open to the world and have my
iphone connect to the vpn then once that is done it is as if I am on my
local network.

streaming over 3G.
Any ideas to have some level of security on the SBS while still being
able to stream to iPeng over 3G?

you to have a seperate ripping path from your
library path. So what you really need is the path to your music
library right? Which with MC can actually be multiple paths however
since slim only allows one.
