The logging helped -- after I put in the *.conf files I saw that
mplayer.sh wasn't executing. I looked at the file permissions and other
didn't have rights to execute the script. Once I changed that, things
started working.

I get
rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk/radio3/latejunction_wed.ra which will play for
me in realplayer. Not sure if it is a matter of the server sniffing for
a particular agent or not but it doesn't seem like I"d be the only user
running into this if that were true.
Forgive my ignorance, but how do you change the radio station timeout? I
poked around the AlienBBC interface and did'nt see anything.

Couldn't find any postings with anybody else experiencing this problem
