I would like to bump this, as I have the exact same questions.
There's a "heart" icon in Dynamic pl, but if I add the playlist to
favorites with this, it dosen't behave like a Dynamic pl, when selected
from favorites afterward. It only plays 8 songs and then stops.

Now we are out of beta is there any way to add the dynamic or sql
playlists to the favorites list?
Is there an easy way to work out the url required if the plugin does
not have the add to favorites functionality integrated (ie no heart
button)?

As long as it's a valid url and there's a handler to it, this should be true.
The plugin we're talking about here doesn't support it (yet).

How does one do that? The only way I know to add something to the
favorites list is by pushing and holding the favorite button on the
remote while viewing an item. I don't see any interface in
