Just wanted to add that I am experiencing exactly the same problem with
album art for the Triode Spotify plugin, using the offical Android
Squeezebox controller app.
It does, however, work for the Squeeze commander app, so it should be
possible to solve for an Android app.

I'm having the same issue. No album art in the now playing screen of the
Android app when playing via Triode's spotify plug-in. The mini-album
art in the search lists are working correct. Album art does work when
playing music from the local library. It's a small thing, but would be

Here you can find the part of the spotifyd.log created when I started
the android app, opened the recent album list, selected the most recent
album and started playing. Hope it helps you.

There don't seem to be any requests here for artwork - this suggests to
me that the android client is not sending any. I'm not sure why.
Is this the official Logitech client? If so perhaps raise a bug
report?

I'm using the 3rd party Spotify plug-in (Triode? Orange icon)..
I've recently started using it through the Android app because it's
much faster than using the wheel on the squeezebox controller. What
would make it perfect is if the album art would display when using
spotify - it does in the
hmmm, can't speak to android, but for iThings, spotify art does show up
in ipeng and ipengHD and SqueezePad.
