There is an ongoing problem in the BBC where some programs are missing
from the "Listen Again" and iPlayer menus.
The BBC thought they had found the problem about 2 weeks ago but it is
clear they have not.
The BBC also have another problem where some programs are withdrawn on
6th day before the

I sort-of see what you mean. If under Alien I go to LISTEN AGAIN for
R3 and R4, many of the programs that show up there won't actually play

The problem is retrieving the menu items.
Best chance is to install the iPlayer Addon and see if the menu under
the "BBC iPlayer Radio" menu work.

It's possible it's related to the iPlayer as BBC disconnect old menu
items.
Check that AlienBBC install is OK by pasting the following URL into SC
WebUI "Tune-in" and click play.
rtsp://rmlive.bbc.co.uk/bbc-rbs/rmlive/ev7/live24/radio4/live/r4_dsat_g2.ra
If it plays then install is OK and no f

The live streams should work but "Listen Again" no longer work since BBC
has moved to iPlayer.
Unzip and put the files in this Addon (
http://forums.slimdevices.com/showpost.php?p=328690&postcount=133 )
into the Alien/Addons directory and restart SC. You will have a new
BBC iPlayer radio menu

Under XP the Alien Plugin needs to be directed to install here:

As I understand it, your SLIMSERVER folder in PROGRAM FILES is
redundant, replaced by SQUEEZECENTER, its new brand name under Logitech
ownership. I renamed my SLIMSERVER fold

Which one does your SC run from ?
in SC Settings/Status it gives the directories currently being used for
3rd party plugins - use the directory ending with "server/Plugins" not
"server/Slim/Plugin"

You should only have a "SqueezeCentre" folder, the "SlimServer" one
probably only contains all your old plugins and a few items in a "Bin"
folder - from 6.5.
AlienBBC should install in SqueezeCentre\server\Plugins.
Along with mplayer.exe in SqueezeCentre\Bin\MSWin32-x86-multi-thread

Ah-ha! SETTINGS / PLUGINS was showing the old 2.0 Alien Plugin, not
compatible. So I deleted the Alien folder, and tried using the new
Alien Installer. Same problem - no Alien showing up.
The I realised - and the exact details aren't apparent to me right at
the moment - that the Installer was
AlienBBC 2.01 for 7.1 also works for 7.2 .
The "Alien BBC" menu appear under "Internet Radio" on my system between
"Shoutcast" and "My Radio Stations".
Check Settings/Plugins and see if AlienBBC is shown as installed and
enabled.
What version of AlienBBC is indicated ?

Made certain I had the correct Alien, and rebooted. Still nothing
(though the MPlayer test that runs on Install did work). Just
remind me: under which menu heading should it appear in the HOME screen
on the left pane - Internet Radio, or one of the others? Either way,
it's not there. I've
Make sure you installed AlienBBC 2.01 for 7.1 - some people click on the
wrong link by accident.
Also for windows sometimes a reboot is necessary - Windows seems to
cache some files.

Just upgraded from SC 7.01 to 7.2 (under XP). No more Alien BBC! I
went to the Alien site and downloaded the latest installer pack, and
installed that into the Plugins folder. Nada. No sign of Alien in the
menus, and my old saved Alien playlists produce nothing.
Help!
