Well we only reimport now if the mtime of the addon is newer - lets look
at whether we can keep the timestamps on the distribution.

I just clicked Reset Menu in the plugin settings to get back to default. I've
now deleted some radio stations that I will never need to access.

In Beta2, some work was done to include new opml files at startup. So
either the startup routine got confused and added an opml file even
though the menu entries were already in the list or you have duplicate
opml file - perhaps as a result of OPML editing.
