A new version 0.2 of the Google Calendar plugin is available. I added a
screensaver mode. It shows the calendar events of the current day as a
ticker line.
It's still very alpha but a little bit more useful than the 0.1 version
:-).
Remark: before using you need to add your Google calendar
Greg, I will also look on SuperDateTime if I upgrade the Calendar Plugin
to 7.0

Using the Saver Switcher plugin you can setup the playing screen
saver to alternate between Now Playing and Google Calendar, there
is also an API in Saver Switcher where you can tell it not to display
Google Calendar unless there is a calendar event in the next hour.
Peter, thanks for the hint. I realized this already after I requested

SuperDateTime for SlimServer 7.0 also has an API which would allow you
to easily add Google Calendar events to the scrolling/sliding
information shown.

I have developed a plugin to access Google calendars.
It's still very basic (version 0.1), but may be helpful.
Before using you need to add your Google calendar account information
on the Plugins page.
The plugin is available here:

See this
That's awesome, I'll have to try it out soon.
