Would love to see this for Duet/Radio etc.. Since these devices are
becoming more bedroom orientated I would like the display to blank say
at 23:00 but turn on at 06:00 so I can see the time.
Is there any magic that anybody can do to make it work?? :)

IMHO bug "fix" http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=7922 needs
to be refixed. It seems at least one other plugin user/author has
noticed it overrides their brightn

Yes but you have play around a bit and set it as a system service and
it still wants preference files to be in an insecure location now.
Anyhow 'nuff said; I don't want to derail this thread.

Yes but I use *both* auto brightness and auto display so this

I can confirm this does work! Yea!!
What I don't know is if this behavior is different than earlier
versions of SC, as I don't remember what the setting was
Just go to player settings in Sc and set autobrightness to manually and

There is definitely something going on in SqueezeCenter 7.0.1. The
plugin is doing the "right" thing, and invoking the
Client->brightness() call to set the brightness. However, it appears
the server is somehow retrieving the "off brightness" value for the
players, and resetting that value. I ha

That is a reasonable suggestion.
However, I need the 7.01 update for the improvements to the Controller.

I would just love for it to work again.

Any chance you could add an option to AutoDim to have it blank the
display after the sleep timer runs out rather than at a specified time?
I go to sleep at different times, but I always use the sleep timer.

Find your plugin directory and locate the install.xml, check the value of
'maxVersion' and make sure it is set to '*'. If this is set to 7.0 it might
cause your issue.

The title says it all. I'll revert back to 7.0 to confirm, but I
believe it stopped after the update to 7.01.
