I'm not sure if this is new behaviour, but I think it is.
When I use iPlayer on LIsten Again, at the end of the programme instead
of stopping it starts from the beginning again. I really don't like
this.

I am having problems with iplayer on slimnas.
freenas 0.7.2
SBS 7.5.1
slimnas 2.0.1
slimserver works fine and iplayer plugin installed correctly but wont
play streams giving the error:
There was an error loading the remote feed for : (Failed to parse)
Where do I go now?
Thanks

I removed /mnt/data/slimnas/usr/bin/flac and - hurrah! - AAC streams
now work :-)
One day I'll get my head round the whole FreeNAS/SlimNA
Please remove that broken copy of flac. SlimNAS shouldn't install any
flac binary or link any more, as flac is included with SBS.
BTW: don't update your FreeNAS until development on 0.7.1 has finished.
The latest nightly builds are either broken or break SlimNAS
compatibility. As this is a moving
I'd assumed that faad/flac would have been included in either the
Squeezebox server or SlimNAS installations.
Given my set-up - ie, SBS on SlimNAS 2.0.1 on FreeNAS 0.7.1 (r4997) -
how do I install working copies of faad & flac?
Thanks

Thanks for the replies. I thought that a fault at the BBC end seemed
most likely, but it's good to have it confirmed.
Probably irrelevant now, but I'm in the UK listening to AAC streams.

I get this same effect on Radio 3 - I amn outside the UK so it is a 48k
stream. It also happens on the PC through browser. So it is not a
BBCiPlayer plugin problem.
Since it happens on both PC and SBS and inside and outside UK - it
looks like a central BBC problem - not a network or distribution

I'm listening to Radio 5 Live now (Danny Baker). - Not my usual
listening.
It's exhibiting occasional bursts of bubbling noise and it's also doing
it simultaneously on my PC.

Having the same problems (stuttering of audio for ~5-10secs) on 6Music
this morning - on the Flash/AAC stream, haven't tested the others.
~10Mbit connection (London, UK) here and there don't seem to be any
problems with downstream bandwidth on my side of things.
Sorry - I'm already running late
Well its hard to be sure - if you find it some some streams and not
others, then I would tend to blame the bbc end. If the stream does not
start at all, then enabling plugin.bbciplayer.parser and
plugin.bbciplayer.rtmp logging would be useful to see.
For breakup during the stream - with flash aa
I had the same thing last weekend (and before that) on Radio 5 Live -
haven't listened today yet.
Also had very occasional breaks of up to 5 seconds on Radios 2 and 4
when listening early in the morning.
I put both down to problems at the BBC end as they tend to go away -
but maybe not?

Was it OK on the PC ?
It is useful to say whether you are in the UK or not as there is a
difference in speeds of service and different server network.

I noticed last weekend that the live stream of BBC Radio 5 live was
breaking up badly from time to time (giving a kind of echoing stutter
effect.) I didn't have time to investigate but today the problem is
still there, as well as on Radio 5 Sports Extra and Radio 6. Radios 1-4
and 7 live streams a

Is this copy of flac a binary or just a link to the other flac file?
ls -l /usr/local/bin

That's the problem - flac not running.
Either delete the /usr/local/bin version of flac or copy the SBS
version to /usr/local/bin
edit:
if you don't use the SBS version of flac, streams will stop after about
2hrs (I think).

OK I misrerad the log entry - there is a spurious AAC->MP3 which I
mistook for the line being exectuted
Code:

Please stick to one thread.
I think your problem is that you have disabled AAC->Flac and so SBS is
trying to do AAC->MP3 but you do not have lame installed.

The "Cant open file for" message means your SBS server cannot transcode
a particular audio format.
The default audio format used by BBCiPlayer is AAC which means you need
to have the faad executable working on your system. It looks like a
version has not been installed on your systems.

I've just updated to Squeezebox Server 7.4.1 r28947 but am now having
