Hi Erland,
A kind reminder of the problem above. iTunes ratings are still not
updated; I'm still using iTunes 12.1 (not daring to upgrade to 12.2).
I would presume these errors provide a hint of where the problem lies:
Code:

Thanks for your response, Erland; good to know that the fault is
probable at Apple's side.
I would say: take your time. I don't expect you to keep up with the
latest versions right away.
This is always the risk when you suffer from update-addiction, as I do
:-)

Same here. Tried import of ratings from iTunes for the first time, but
it failed. Everything seems to be correctly installed (Custom Scan,
Trackstat, Dynamic Playlists). Most/Last played songs are imported and
can be seen via Trackstat, but not the ratings. I use iTunes 12.1.1.4
and LMS 7.9

Any ideas?
To be sure: I'm using a fairly recent version of LMS 7.9 and the latest
iTunes (12.1).
Sorry I didn't notice this thread until now.
It kind of feels like Apple have changed something so the added time is
no longer part of the iTunes Library xml file. If this is
Hi Erland,
Longtime happy user of the Custom Scan, Trackstat iTunes import/export
here. The main use is the synchronisation of new ratings.
But since a few weeks, I'm not able to get my new ratings from iTunes
into LMS with the Custom Scan iTunes import.
This happens in the log after manually
Hi,
I didn't have the full path and so changed it. The messages now look
like this:
[09-11-08 14:48:02.0216]
Plugins::TrackStat::iTunes::Import::handleTrack (424) file not found:
/Volumes/Media/Music/Mumford Sons/Sigh No More/08 Timshel.mp3
[09-11-08 14:48:02.0231]
If iTunes and Squeezebox Server uses different paths to the file you
need to setup the path parameters in settings for the iTunes Statistics
Import scanning module, see here for an example:

thank you.
I'm not sure but don't think that they would use different paths to get
to the file... Both iTunes and squeezebox server are running on the same
machine and pointing to an external disc that has the music on. the xml
file is on the mac not the external disc.

oops...
so, meant to say, do I still need to follow the example?
(not sure how as it is for 2 comps)
Sorry if I'm being dim!

This means that it get this file path from iTunes XML but it can't find
it on the disk.
Is this path correct
solved it - thanks!
The xml path was fine but in the basic settings, the path to my music
stopped at 'music' and didn't go down to music/itunes
Changing this has let me import all of the statistics...
Thanks for your help

Hi -
I am trying to import my data from itunes (play count in particular so
that it will help with dynamic playlists) but I can't get it to work.
On the settings tab, it says 'Running' - but has been for a long, long
time (1 week?!)
I previously ran this plugin fine, but for some reason (an
Do you see any errors in the server.log ?
If not, could you try to enable the debug level logging on
plugin.trackstat in Settings/Advanced/Logging and see what it outputs in
the server.log ?

Hi there-

It means it's parsing the iTunes XML file but it feels strange if it
takes a week. Do you see any other messages or errors in the server.log
file ?

It was the term 'parsing' that I didn't understand!
There was just a whole page of that line. I'm now out for a few hours
but will check when I get back and see if there are other messages.
Thanks for your help - really appreciated

I can't see any other errors - would they be in the same log?

changing to info keeps the same parsing message coming...
The XML file is 8.3MB
the configuration has
box 1 ticked
box 2 empty
box 3 70
xml path completed
next 2 empty
ignore ticked
album ratings empty
Is that the info you meant?

Did you change the log level of plugin.trackstat ?
If not, try to do that and see if you see any other log messages in the
log. The problem att the moment is that the parsing messages are too
many so you might not
