since you changed the NIC you maybe get another IP from your Router.

Did you checked your Router for connected devices?

I had a quick try setting this up by following the you tube video.
Inserted USB into PI and followed the below.

I removed the Ethernet connection (to test the WIFI) and rebooted and I
couldnt the access max2play interface.
