Unfortunately, I could post that file to LastFM with no issues.
You could try putting it back again and seeing what happens.
Any resulting messages in the log (turn d_plugins debugging on
beforehand) would be useful.

If it happens again ... then might be a good idea to post the file here
before deleting it so that it can be looked at to try to find the

I don't suppose you kept a copy? I'd like to find out why this happens.
I'm guessing your submissions hadn't worked for a while so the file had
become quite large?

The select error, if it's related to SlimScrobbler at all, is probably
just a LastFM network issue.
A couple of people have reported problems when submissions don't work
for a long time. Seems like the pending song file becomes corrupted in

SlimScrobbler hasn't been posting to Last.FM for several weeks.
Slimserver 6.5.2, SlimScrobbler 0375, and the log is full of nothing
but:
2007-06-25 23:42:21.2122 Select task failed: Not a SCALAR reference at
/usr/local/slimserver/Slim/Networking/Select.pm line 278. My goodness,
the log is also 5.
Ah you have me there!
I think it's the SlimServer 'internet radio timeout' setting that's
used?
(In the LastFM plugin, almost certainly)

I'm getting loads of these too.
Is there any way to change the timeout value?
I've always found the LastFM servers to be notoriously slow at
responding, however this plugin only waits 5 seconds for a response
from LastFM before giving up:

The problem is, as ever, with LastFM.
I'd say my code never has any bugs but that would be tempting fate.
