I am planning to update the Squeezebox Server to 7.5.2 from 7.4.x. Will
PowerSwitch II continue to work after the update?
Thanks.

I am planning to use PowerSwitch in a slightly different manner:
instead of turning on/off an amplifier, I want to use the plugin to
control a CMOS analog switch to choose between the SB3 and another
input.
My question: Is there a state variable within SqueezeCenter that tells
whether the clien
Just to update, did the upgrade and all is working fine. :D
6 out of 7 squeezebox 3's crashed after updating their firmware
requiring a power cycle, but seem to be fine now...

Hello,
Does anyone know if the PowerSwitch II plugin works with the latest
slimserver (or whatever they're calling it this week)?
If not, is there an alternative that will work with circuits built for
PowerSwitch II plugin?
I'm reluctant to upgrade to the latest version unless I know I can get

Hi there
My guess is that the line endings have changed from unix to dos when
you made that change to the install.xml file.
Anyways, I posted a newer version of the plugin on my webpage which
hopefully works again in your setup.
Cheers

I upgraded my SC to v7.2 and tried the maxVersion trick. However, it
still does not work.
Any other pointers? Thanks.

Try this at your own risk, but the fix to PowerSwitch II may be very
simple:
Edit PowerSwitch II 's install.xml file so that the maxVersion line
reads:
7.*
Then, restart SqueezeCenter. That may be all there is to it.

The PowerSwitch II in my Squeezebox III stopped working after I upgraded
my 2007 Norton 360 to 2008 Norton 360 Premier Edition. Everything else
appears to work fine, except the PowerSwitch II.
I re-installed SqueezeCenter and made sure the PowerSwitch II is still

Hello again
It is not possible to change the output voltage without changing the
hardware inside Transporter as the transistor driving the IR out is
connected to the 3.3V power line.
So you'll need additional hardware between the IR out and your amp

Thanks, Felix. I have not turned on the PowerSwitch from the Transporter
yet.
Can you increase the output voltage from 3.3V to 5V?

Hello
Did you enable power switch for that player? By default it's disabled
for all players. To enable it, go to the plugins entry on the player
interface (with the remote), go right, select PowerSwitch II, go right
again and enable the plugin.
However the output will only be 3.3V (and not 5V) s
I just bought a Transporter and run SS 6.5.4. My amp has a 12V trigger
input. This input takes 5V-30V DC voltage to turn on the amp.
So I connected Transporter IR output to amp's 12V trigger input. With
Power Switch II plugin, I was hoping to turn on/off the amp when I turn
on/off Transporter.
