First, what is the proper configuration to point to my db file in this
scenario? I assume that the the db needs to be on my Samba share or

I do. Not for Moose, but for SlimRemote ;-)
There has been some discussion about creating plugin specific CLI
command so I think it should be possible to add this to TrackStat if
you are interested.
This is great, I really love the toast feature. I agree that it would be
better if it stayed up a bit longer, as it is now I am fast enough to
see it if I am looking there but if I am doing something else I don't
see all information before it disapears.

slimserversql.db file locally and as soon as Moose starts trying to
scan the database, it crashes.
My slimserver is running on a Linux NAS and Moose is of course running
