A version of mplayer called mplayer-stdout is part of flipflip's SSODS. I think it is based on 1.0pre8 but modified to get around the missing /dev/fd devices. I believe SSODS also has a copy of lame - I'm not sure of the version. -- bpa

The instruction below assume Sirius plugin has been installed. Sirius needs mplayer for WMA stream server-side decoding as there is no wmadec utility on Linux systems. This server side WMA decoding support is provided as a side benefit of AlienBBC installation but I think you do not need to
