For what it's worth I've had false positives from AVG on jar files
before now (not slim related)

I pulled it from a mirror in Atlanta. Sure a .jar could contain a file
infected with a virus, but it would have to be a native executable -
and you don't usually get those in a jar. Java is, after all, multi
platform.

Which mirror did you use? And i'm sure a .jar (it a container file) file
can contain a virus, even if the virus was not writen in Java.
But you might be right, like i said i saw "2 infected files found" just
as i was on my way out to work, swearing like a mad man. I hope you are
right ;)

No virus (I'd be impressed if anyone could write a virus in Java). Your
antivirus is giving a false positive - report it to them so they can
fix it.
