Tnx, i will try the plugin first. It's nicer that squeezebox executes
the script when something changes than the script that runs on some
linux pc all the time.

The thing is i have kankun smart plug
(http://hackaday.com/2014/11/13/hacking-a-20-wifi-smart-plug/) and would
use it to turn the amp on or off depending the player state.
Have a look at a plugin made by Catfish called SBnetIO.
