This problem has now resolved itself, though I don't know how!

Hello, I've been happily using Spotify through LMS for sometime and am
grateful to those who have made this possible.
I do have a problem now though and hope someone can assist.
The Spotty plugin won't install into LMS, ie it still shows as an
inactive 3rd part plugin after 'ticking' and
??? what is the Man In The Middle Attack message all about??
It's a warning that something about your SSL ingegration isn't working
as expected. What OS are you using? What Perl and OpenSSL versions (see
Settings/Information)?

Hi Michael,
Thanks for the tip. I renamed the Zlib.pm file and Spotty installed!
I'm now running LMS 7.9.2 and Spotty is "sort of" working... that's
progress. I think if I can get all this working properly I will write up
everything I've done to help others on the same platform.
Slim::Utils::PluginDownloader::extract (102) error loading Archive::Zip
Compress::Raw::Zlib object version 2.066 does not match bootstrap parameter
2.033 at /usr/share/squeezeboxserver/CPAN/Compress/Raw/Zlib.pm line 98.
Compilation failed in require at
[19-06-23 09:15:55.6286] Plugins::Spotty::API::__ANON__ (1482) API call:
browse/featured-playlists?country=US=50=en_US×tamp=2019-06-23T09%3A10%3A00
Where's that locale coming from? That "×tamp..." part I've never seen
and would certainly lead to Spotify not understanding the locale value.
Some progress... I went back to the previous NasTools version (7.9.0)
and installed Spotty. This is the only version that doesn't raise the
error in this thread.
There must be something in that version that makes everything work
properly. Would be nice to know what it is!
Authorization worked
Does anyone know how to solve this?
I'm at a loss...

There are a couple of significant errors in there - both related to
handling zip files ... and plugins are distributed as a zip compressed
archive.
So - fixing those issues will probably resolve it.
Code:
Slim::Utils::PluginDownloader::extract (102) error loading
Here's the server log. Fresh install - not even used it yet!

Please make sure you let it download before you restart LMS. Please also
check server.log (see Settings/Information) for any hint about the
installation failure.
