I couldn't get 7.1 to work on XM - but then, I'm using an oldie:, the
Classic Squeezebox V3. So I dropped back to SC 7.0.1 and now the XM
plugin is completely supported.

What you are seeing is the little functionality that remains in tj=he XM
plugin.
It does still work, if you tune in URL: xmradio://channel number or
Manualy add it to your favorites using xmradio://channel number
And then use the favorites to switch channels
