Are you in the UK or outside the UK ? If you are in the UK - does the problem go away if you disable AAC in BBCiPlaye settings ? The error related to BBCiPlayer inability to open network connections - does BBCiPlayer work on your PC ? -- bpa

I am in the UK and am able to run the standalone iplayer through the web interface successfully on this machine, which is a mac mini. Was it using the AAC or MP3 stream ? check by right clicking the picture and then looking at 2nd line. Where do I adjust the iplayer settings to
