I have been investigating why my AlienBBC plugin doesn't work anymore,
and I recalled that there was an automatic update to SS 6.5.1 not long
ago. My box runs Ubuntu Dapper Drake, and I added Slimdevices'
repository so it is autoupdated.
Here is the folder listing:
If slimserver is being run under the userid slimserver then I think
all the files should be owned by slimserver.

that's what I think, and I'm almost certain it was before the update.
If a kind soul with a working SS6.5.1/AlienBBC1.06 could confirm...
before I go and chown them all.

Very strange because usually RAI is unreliable.
Post a debug log when selecting Radio 3 with d_source and d_plugins
enabled.

it appears that the BBC Radio 3 Live URL changed
from:
rtsp://rmlivev8.bbc.net.uk/farm/*/ev7/live24/radio3/live/r3_dsat_g2.ra
to:
rtsp://rmlive.bbc.co.uk/bbc-rbs/rmlive/ev7/live24/radio3/live/r3_dsat_g2.ra
Now I deleted the old playlist and replaced with the new one.
Sorry for the confusion...
Hi All,
my Ubuntu 6.06 LTS auto-updated SS to 6.5.1.
Now my alienBBC playlists do not work...
Sounds fishy to me...
How to troubeshoot...?
ciao,

You upgraded from 6.5.0 or 6.3.1. ?
What do you mean by alienbbc playlist - AlienBBC menus or entries in
a playlist with RTSP URL or RAM extension ?
Do you have the AlienBBC menu ?
Do you have the RTSP entries under Server Settings / Filetypes.?
Initial debug options to try would be d_plugins
I upgraded from 6.5.0, my playlist have entries with RTSP URL, yes I do
have an AlienBBC menu and RTSP entries in filetype settings...
What's for sure is that they worked, a few weeks ago..
Thanks for your kind reply, I'll check the foders you mentioned.
