Hi everybody, Is there anybody out there who is interested making tests from time to time on development (or beta or whatsoever) versions? If so, please mail me off list, and maybe with preferences like 'just pm 2' or 'just pm 1' or both. I think the release of new versions could be sped up this way.
It would mean downloading the new dev-version, modifying some settings in the config.ini (mainly for the mapfile location and layers) and then performing the usual actions navigation, query, printing. And report back errors or problems. Or also just "everything's working fine" (that's a feedback what you never get otherwise). This way the tests could be a bit broader covering all sort of layer and connection types, grouping, and lots of conceivable combinations, and things more. I would inform interested testers regularly about new dev-versions and provide them on the server for download. Armin
