Hello,
I am trying to configure PmWiki on a free host www.freeweb7.com. Only
certain file extensions are allowed - so that the default page file naming
convention 'Group.FullName' will not work.
I've found a workaround based on recipe

I'm having trouble with the Thickbox cookbook script.
I have both images and thumbnail images so I can use this as a photo gallery.

The page isn't using the thumbnails though it's just shrinking the images.

Hi Patrick,
Thanks very much; as Steven predicted in another email, you have saved the
day. This works, which shows that the problem was with php, and may show up
for others in the situation of academics (e.g., antiquated or enterprise
hardware, likely non-linux based). I appended the below text t

Well, I¹ve given up hope for a good solution, and done hacking instead.
Thanks to a significant amount of debugging help from Steven Leite (cc¹d), I
ruled out systematically lots of things that didn¹t help identify my
problems.
Fundamentally, I was still unable to use local/config.php options in a

Hello !
One suggestion and one question:
[1] What about adding a footer to messages posted through this list to
promote the page "How to get help?"
[2] Would there be a way to have pmwiki-users messages "poured" into a
specific pmwiki group so that they would be searchable through the same
system?

PS: adding more to the last update:
I revised the handling of input values so Fox will redisplay
input values if the posting was aborted, but will clear all fields on
successful postings. a new keepinput= parameter can be set to
selectively keep input values for named fields with
keepinput=name1,
I have no idea if this will conflict with any other markups or whatever out
there, but this works:

It is, or would be if the questions posed there were consistently
reviewed and responded to. You are one of
Just like the "" markup inserts the Author name and a date stamp,
and "~~~" inserts only the AuthId, I would like to have some markup only
for the date stamp.
For example, one could use "~~" to insert the date.
As far as I know, such a markup does not exist. Could someone help me
out with

Inspired by the (:template requires ..:) markup from PmForm
I updated fox.ph and added input validation checking to Fox via a new
(:foxcheck name ...:) markup.
See info at http://www.pmwiki.org/wiki/Cookbook/Fox#foxcheck
foxcheck will use parameters match=string and if=condition and
regex=patter
