PS: you could use PmWiki.AuthUser and a .htpasswd file, then use http://www.pmwiki.org/wiki/Cookbook/HtpasswdForm which gives you a wiki page with a form to change entries in the .htpasswd file. That is quite a good tool, and ready tailored for the purpose. I think it is better than trying to ada
