was causing the ability to hide tags/category-links via [[!(cat-
name)]] to not work correctly.

Yes this is normal behaviour for parentheses inside links however when
it is a Category link/tag like [[!(Name)]] the link is not hidden &
displays the word "Category" as a link on the page.
This has to be in pmwiki.php or in stdmarkup.php.

Somehow in the process of tweaking a new skin design the wiki I'm
working on lost the ability to hide category links.
Instead of [[!(Projects)]] being hidden, a link pointing to
Category.Projects is displayed as "Category" on the page. Hiding
standard wikilinks [[(Projects.TheProjectsTitle)]
