Yes it would be a problem. No we can't do that.
IANAL, but you can write a paper similar to how you would for school
with references and give the papers you used credit for their work.
Thats a "simple" copyright violation. Same deal with taking a book and
republishing it.

I am writing some documentation about the Word 97 binary file format. I want
to link to bookmarks in the official spec created by M$. Does this seem like
it would be a problem to have that "wword8.html" file on the POI site?
