After reviewing the "using extensions" tutorial on Suns website, I was
convinced that this was all I needed to do. I'm wondering if you could
perhaps tell me what you've done differently to make it work for you.

I've managed to simply save the excel files I need to parse as .csv files ..
(aka: comma separated values)... then I can parse through them as if it were
a text file. However, this process is simple due to the fact that the data I
am reading is well formatted in
