Our recent ruminations about nuclear weapons and who's got 'em/who doesn't got us to thinking about apocalypse. It's the stuff of science fiction, but what would happen if all of a sudden there were no people on Earth? The Times of London put together a timeline of what the Earth would look like 20 years from now, 100 years from now, all the way up to 200,000 years from now, if humans simply vanished. What evidence of our existence would be left behind? Hint: after about a thousand years, not much.
