i tested the same version of mp3blaster on FreeBSD 5.4 before even considering writing to ports@ . it ran about 1.2% cpu which i was ok with, it didn't run quite as smoothly, changing songs etc, but didn't eat my cpu either. thats what lead me to thinking it was Open related. we will have
