Gaim audio flavor makes no sound

I made the audio FLAVOR of Gaim from the 4.1 ports (i386). It compiled correctly but... no audio is ever produced when Method is Automatic. Only Console beep works... Anybody have the same problem? Any way to solve it? Thanks. -- ___ __
