I have current OpenBSD (from CVS about 21 feb 2011) on VMware.
Installing xfce4 thru building from source failed:
# cd /usr/ports/x11/xfce4/
# make install
===> x11/xfce4/exo
===> x11/xfce4/garcon
===> x11/xfce4/gtk-xfce-engine
===> x11/xfce4/libxfce4util
===> x11/xfce4/libxfce4ui
===> x11/xfce4/l
Attached are updated and new patches for the sysutils/conky port. The
patches enable the ${apm_adapter}, ${apm_battery_life}, and
${apm_battery_time} variables in conky on amd64. There is also a patch to
the man page explaining these variables are also available on OpenBSD.

Likely lack of interest. A MAINTAINER of ports@openbsd is an indication
thereof.
