Starting kde4

OK, I am dumb. Too dumb to figure out how to start KDE 4.11.4, apparently. I installed the kde4 meta package and saw an error for kde-workspace, so I added that manually. But I can't figure out how to start kde4. I don't see startkde. Am I missing something, stupid, or is there is build probl
