The old version was something like 3 years old and 2000 weeklies behind.
I've talked to the dev and it now builds cleanly without patches(or rather,
I made the changes needed and got it merged into the project.)

weekly, and I don't use qemu regularly. However, when I went to start
qemu today I got an abort trap. I updated to the latest -current
and updated packages with pkg_add -u and I am still getting the same

I've been trying to update MAME to the latest version (0.174) [1].
Since version 0.172, MAME is now GPLv2+ licensed, which means binary
packages could be built and distributed again.
Upstream switched build systems and they now use Genie. Some blocks

Here is a new port, for Virtual Jaguar.
