With the attached fix the redis port builds, but is unable to complete the

because it runs out of memory during the build twice -- first when
building the bootstrap Cabal (which you can work around by restarting
the build after the first failure), second when building the stage1

Same thing as with lang/go: Simplify do-install, combine finds,
fix space/tab mixtures.
