i tested the same version of mp3blaster on FreeBSD 5.4 before even
considering writing to ports@ .
it ran about 1.2% cpu which i was ok with, it didn't run quite as
smoothly, changing songs etc, but didn't eat my cpu either.
thats what lead me to thinking it was Open related.
we will have to see about a patch :-b (i may need to teach myself some new
things first)
its not a serious biggie, just wanted to let someone know.

I don't normally use mp3blaster but I decided to take a look. On my
850 Mhz i386 laptop, it uses 35% cpu for mp3, which sucks, but it uses
only 2% cpu for ogg.
It would seem to me that it just has a crummy mp3 decoder. Feel free
to fix and submit patches :)
