I have a new patch to update py-gtk2 to 2.8.2. It requires the
updated cairo and py-cairo (1.0.2.p0). Everything is available at
http://ekyo.nerim.net/openbsd/

Did you test it with python 2.4 set as a default version of python
interpreter?
