Hi ports, slbd is a server load balancing daemon which is privilege separated and uses the same 3-process architecture than bgpd, ospfd and friends.
It comes with a utility slbctl that can be used to bring hosts, tables or services down administratively (for maintenance reasons for instance). Its feature-set is limited right now but will be extended. We are starting to put it under stress at work but I thought I'd make it available here too in case someone needs such a tool. This was developped with -current on i386 and runs on i386/amd64 machines right now. If it works for us and I get reports of it working for other people, I'll make a port out of it I'm waiting to find out if there are issues to fix first.
