Hi all,
Someo of my mail destinations failing, due to unable to find mx,
However when i DIG i see the mx record, but has a typo ( the remote needs to
fix thier dns )

But im concerned that more will fail in future - should my postfix be able to
resolve this ( the groupwise system can and both are pointing at same ns )

Postfix versions 2.3 and later skip a DNS record with a bad name.
Unsupported Postfix versions pretend that the lookup failed when
the result is invalid.

I upgraded to 2.6.5 - and still fails,
eg

dsn=4.4.3, status=deferred (Host or domain name not found. Name service error
for name=eurocommerce.ie type=MX: Host n
ng something OS now is broke - not postfix -
This is only an issue where remote DNS has typo on the mx record.

I do ( detailed in the same email ) - and i get timeouts when there is a typo
in the record - all correct records come back fine.

Would someone just please give me a headsup on the format for reg exp
headerchecks files,
Im not sure how to format for searching for a string within an email address,
eg
to reject all mail with the word "boarding" eg for the from address
boarding...@domain.com and newboarding_pc
Appologies the second post - can someone please also explain the postmap test,
eg
postmap -q "boarding" regexp:/etc/postfix/headerchecks
This comes back with nothing - i thought it might coma back with a match ?
